THE HAUNTED OTT HOTEL IN LIBERTY TEXAS
The Haunted Ott Hotel is located in Liberty, Texas. It was built and opened in the summer of 1928. This classic railroad hotel was also awarded the "Texas Historical Marker" for its preservation of the structure. The fact that Liberty is the third oldest town in Texas lends credibility to this location as one of the most haunted hotels in the state of Texas for a long time running..The present owners being Kelly and Susan McCain also lend credibility to one of the longest standing haunted hotels in America today as a hotbed for paranormal activity. But dont take they're word for it, just go to the hotel's website and see for yourself all of the accounts of voices,footsteps,cold spots and handwritten statements from many people who have stayed there. The pictures, the EVP's and all of the other forms of investigation of this grand structure has generated even newer legends to this hotel. The hotel itself has long been called a vortex for the undead and the mirror downstairs at the end of the first floor hall seems to be at the very core of it. Of course the history of the hotel has had its share of many deaths and tragedy throughout its existence but even before its inception into hotel management this structure served as a Mexican chop hospital back when the country of Mexico owned this land. The Oil boom gave Liberty a chance to be a major player in Texas history. So with the advent of this lucrative buisness also came the spoils in which most oil barrons indulged in. Here come the resturants, the stores, the high rollers, the workers and all of the pleasures that accompany this type of boom. So then came the Ott Hotel. The structure is located right across from the train station. With this setup came many people who would stay at this hotel. Price Daniel, who was govenor at the time even owned a lot on this hotel's land. Its even documented that Bonnie and Clyde had stayed at this hotel as well..there were many celebrities along the way that came thru this town and stayed at this hotel. There was even a Bordello that operated in this hotel at the time it was booming. That is the root of one of the most memorable events at the hotel itself. The mysterious murder of a married couple involving a lone gunshot and the secret lover of the wife is one of the many stories that accompany this famous and most haunted hotel. So if you want to get your ghost hunt on and you need a place that is not only proven to be haunted and very affordable, i would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

One of the neat things about this hotel is that the current owner Susan McCain keeps the hotel immaculately clean and is always inspecting to make sure the place is dust free. So when you see Orbs in and around the joint, you know that its not from any contamination of dust, dirt, bugs or anything that might cause that kind of effect....

Pic taken at the Haunted Ott Hotel in Liberty Texas..one of the reasons this hotel is so haunted is from literally millions of people who have walked thru these hallways during the boom for reasons such as the train station across the street..the brothel that brought in lots of men and even the stragulers along the trail needed a place to stay, food to eat..and well maybe even a woman for obvious reasons..this hotel had them all...here is a pic of the mirror known as a portal inside this hotel..The owners have pics showing several specters inside the mirror looking out from it....
I see what looks like to me to be a woman walking back into the portal..back to us..full bodied apparition from head to toe..she even has ponytails...

NVESTIGATORS FINAL CONCLUSION: It is obvious to me that the Haunted Ott Hotel in Liberty Texas is extremely haunted. That one can catch paranormal activity at all hours of the day and night. That even firsttime ghosthunters could come to this Hotel and catch a ton of paranormal evidence with ease. I would not only recommend this Hotel to anyone interested in Ghosthunting but would also say that i will be returning to see Kelly and Susan on a regular basis!..The Ott Hotel is hearby certified from Ghostheadfinder as haunted and inhabited by spirits of another world...

UPDATED INVESTIGATION : 10-09-10...Another trip to the Haunted Ott Hotel brought with it another night of strange images..I have come to find with the hotel that i truly feel the first floor...leading from the entrance to the mirror on the back wall is A TOTAL PORTAL..literally a portal for Spirits to come and go as they please..and believe me there are many of them that do...the following pics in my opinion will show truth to this theory of Ghostheadfinder.. ...

The cemetery is literally down the road from the hotel..Speaking to a local resident they said there was a demon cast out into this cemetery..
Maybe this is that demon...
No reason for that wierd light..after checking the stone i found nothing that would reflect that..
